Our Story
Our Story
1979
Inception
Graziano De Betta completed his cabinet making apprenticeship, starting his own business in the family garage. Seeing the talent and passion of his son, Francesco De Betta bought him his first machine, a Combination Thicknesser.
1990
Expansion
As the reputation of Graziano’s craftsmanship grew, he bought his first factory in Thomastown, Melbourne where he mentored a team of cabinetmakers whose skill would be admired for generations.
2009
Innovation
Graziano’s son Derek joined the family business to ‘try it out for a week’, bringing with him the company’s first computer! He quickly fell in love with the business and introduced the technology & design software to scale Mr Cabinets to new heights.
Today
Elevation
Fuelled by a deep passion, founder Graziano is still known to walk the factory floors inspecting cabinetry to ensure it meets his quality standards. Francesco is remembered by a photo proudly adorning the wall of the Mr Cabinets Showroom. No matter how much we grow, Mr Cabinets will always be a proud family business with an ‘old world’ dedication to superior craftsmanship.
